Xiv,
In a trending market, sell using pull back filters and enter anywhere under lower standard error band.
Exit works 90% of the time, and entry works 100% of the time.
Wait for next pullback then go long. This technique will work for several more months until trend ends. You need to learn to identify trend changes by looking at monthly charts.

charts wont tell you much with the indexes right now unfortunately. it is an aberrational time. 99% of the time the price would have moved back towards the MA20 by now. trend is your friend until the end.

Great filter Dave. Looks better than mine by a hair.

How do you think this would of performed July 2014-Jan. 2016
2008, bear market, etc. I know there's no data back then, just saying.

I think it would have worked during that time. However, the gains would be less. I looked at a five year view in StockCharts. I saw 20% + drops numerous times. I also saw numerous uptrends during this period. Could also make the chart weekly to clear up the noise. TLT gained 33% in 2008. Shorting TMV (if it existed back then) or going long TMF in 2008 could have made you 89%

Throw something nasty in there like DGAZ and look at the entries and exits.

Re: "sort column 34 descending"
Q:
What's your column "34"? I don't have a column 34.
