Steel Partners Has Concerns With Disclosures In Rowan's 10-K >RDN 03/26 01:17 PM

Steel Partners II LP, an 8.7% stakeholder of Rowan Cos (RDC:$14.26,00$-0.01,00-0.07%) . (RDC), on Thursday sent a letter to the board expressing its concern with certain disclosures contained in the company's 2008 annual report and proxy statement.
In the letter, which was disclosed in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Steel Partners expressed its concern over "significant inventory write offs" in the fourth quarter and "unusual and improper" compensation and severance arrangements with the retiring chief executive officer, the new CEO and other executives.
Steel Partners also said a $13 million professional service fee Rowan paid in connection with the suspended LeTourneau Technologies Inc. monetization process is "outrageous amount for an abandoned transaction".
Could they have possibly hit on MORE current hot spots? Inventories, exec. compensation?
I see a block buy at 4:04 of 60k or so...but the 1million is mysterious. Insiders jumping ship before they're de-listed? It was a block at $1.80...
