Hi,

Am new to SF but certainly not new to trading :). I have loads of techniques which are quite useful and would like the community help to build filters which can surely benefit everyone.

Here's a good scan as the subject states, a move of equal length. Basically we are looking for a move down for a certain number of days and then a move up reversing this move down. You would see this as a V shaped pattern.

The below gives me a move down for X [x=10 in this case] number of days [ for most stocks]

Show stocks where the 10 day slope of the close is below 1.0

Appreciate if someone can guide on how to achieve a V shaped scan. This would work well for the short scenario as well i.e. an inverse V shape.

Cheers

Here's a start.

Fetcher[
not otcbb
10 day slope of close 10 days ago < -0.5
10 day slope of close > 1

add column 10 day slope of close 10 days ago {10-day slope 10 days ago}
add column 10 day slope of close {10-day slope}
]

Thanks a ton @xarlor

I have added an additional condition [ 4th line] below to refine the scan

Fetcher[
not otcbb
10 day slope of close 10 days ago < -0.5
10 day slope of close > 1
and close dropped more than 10% over the last 50 days

add column 10 day slope of close 10 days ago {10-day slope 10 days ago}
add column 10 day slope of close {10-day slope}
]
