Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

@Mactheriverrat, I was hoping if you can help answer a question around one of your RSI filters that you posted long long ago. I am fairly new to trading and am totally loving the support from stockfetcher and its members. I would like your approach to the below filter that you posted:

Show stocks where the rsi(14) is above RSI(14) 1 day ago
Price is above 1 and price is below 99

Do you buy and hold this for 3 days? What strategy do you specifically use to trade this filter?

Anything you can do to help will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Tugga

I try and use the least indicators as I can
I've added Williams%r(10) cross above -40.00 as a trigger as rsi(14) above 50.00 is Bullish always

Thanks Mactheriverrat. So" I've added Williams%r(10) cross above -40.00" as soon as this condition is met, you enter the trade? What strategy do you use for holding? The reason why I asked about the RSI filter there was when I saw a post here - http://www.stockfetcher.com/forums/Filter-Exchange/RSI-Filter-my-best-one/98917

Thanks a ton again for your help.

I would paper trade any strategy before trading it real time. I'm using the EMA(9) as the short term swing trend as when price goes above it . It is one of a buy signals confirmed by the Williams %R(10) line at -40.00 and RSI(14) line at 50.00.

Those who play the XIV and VXX are more of bottom players are making great gains but their triggers are sooner . Mine are more of following uptrending stocks

Fetcher[symlist(spy,xiv,vxx,aks,x,bac)

draw ema(9)
Draw ma(20)

draw Williams %R(10) line at -40.00
Draw RSI(14) line at 50.00

CHART-LENGTH IS 6 months

Set{cntema13,count( ema(9)> ema(9) 1day ago,1)}
draw cntema13

Set{cntema13b,count( ema(9)< ema(9) 1day ago,1)}

draw cntema13b

Thanks for your support Mactheriverrat. Shall paper trade this strategy to see how it goes before putting real money on the line.

Cheers,
Tugga
