why do you keep posting this?
Isn't it against copyright?
I am sure IBD would not appriove of seeing this and why do you need to post them? Many of the filters can technically scan for these stocks.

Starting with a base "pool" of stocks that already met the publicly available screening of CANSLIM (fundamentals) offers a huge benefit when merged here at StockFetcher(technicals).
Merging the fundamentals with the technicals is very powerful.
There is no copyright infringement.
What is CAN SLIM™?
CAN SLIM is IBD's acronym for the seven common characteristics all great performing stocks have before they make their biggest gains. You can significantly reduce your risk and increase returns by using the CAN SLIM Investment Research Tool as a fact-based performance checklist to evaluate a stock before you buy.
C= Current earnings per share should be up 25% or more and in many cases accelerating in recent quarters. Quarterly sales should also be up 25% or more or accelerating over prior quarters.
A= Annual earnings should be up 25% or more in each of the last three years. Annual return on equity should be 17% or more.
N= A company should have a new product or service that's fueling earnings growth. The stock should be emerging from a proper chart pattern and about to make a new high in price.
S= Supply and demand. Shares outstanding can be large or small, but trading volume should be big as the stock price increases.
L= Leader or laggard? Buy the leading stock in a leading industry. A stock's Relative Price Strength Rating should be 80 or higher.
I= Institutional sponsorship should be increasing. Invest in stocks showing increasing ownership by mutual funds in recent quarters. IBD's Accumulation/Distribution Rating gauges mutual fund activity in a stock.
M= The market indexes, the Dow, S&P 500 and Nasdaq, should be in a confirmed up trend since three out of four stocks follow the market's overall trend.

I have researched the CANSLIM method recently. Am I correct in assumming that the stocks that have made the IBD 100, fit VARIOUS CANSLIM criteria, or is this simply a universe to THEN apply CANSLIM fundamental screening...
Are the rankings dependant on how many criteria are fit? the 1-10 stocks fit more criteria than the 20-30? The answer is probabyl yes, but before I assume this, I am looking for clarification.
thanks,

Thank You! Keep posting! I love how you also have breakdowns of the list to include info that IBD does not ever show. Also, in response to the previous poster concerning copyright, this use of IBD's printed information publically available from a non digital format should not in my opinion violate any present copyright laws.

still here...
i'm a very sensitive person so i did not like this kind of threat:
"markcrisp 11/23/2004 8:53:22 AM
why do you keep posting this?
Isn't it against copyright?

so i have been waiting for one of these filters than can "technically" scan for these stocks.
But on second thought i've never read any possitive comment nor any contribution nor even any filter from Markcrisp...so...
i'll update my 100 Irresistible & Beautiful Dancers...next
OK?
