Was working on this before the Wuhan Cootie outbreak. The program ran so slow on my old computer and network that it was almost useless. It may still be useless, but I offer it anyway.

Graftonian,

Could you modify this filter so it is accessible to a basic level subscriber?

Thanks

Rich

@Rich, I only have the basic membership plan. Your post jogged my old, tired memory, a recollection that others in the past had trouble running this script. Maybe that is why I tired of it.. Perhaps SF has a clue.

graf,

Glad to see you back. Hope your wife has fully recovered.

Back in June 2019, you've posted your very first Weinstein filter,
and then quickly deleted it within a few minutes.

You said you found it on the internet.
Do you remember where?

Thanks.

Graf,

I contacted support but they only suggested contacting the writer which I told them
I had already done. I find Weinstein interesting but the interest on this board seemed
to fade in a hurry.

Thanks

Rich

Cheese,
I think I pieced together what I could from: https://www.chartmill.com/documentation/technical-analysis-indicators/92-Weinstein-stage-analysis-in-chartmill
My wifes trials and tribulations have been have been the stuff of horror movies. Two botched Reverse Total Shoulder Replacements (on one shoulder). The third time was a charm, and she is on the mend.

roca1018

As I recall, when this board started to post about Weinstein last year, most posters were
still learning it, some have read part of the book, others have not even bought it.

There is only so much beginners could learn from each other, so our learning here tapered off.

But graf and Paula pa247 (in chronological order) gave me some good hints about
my own next learning steps

1. The key seems to be good Stage Analysis. I've seen several experienced Weinstein traders
and trading blogs suggesting that WMA(150) or Weeekly WMA(30) alone are not enough,
They seemed successful in using additional indicators to help with their Stage Analysis.

2. graf posted the Chartmill link above, and Paula pa247 posted a lot of good information
and annoted screen prints on how to use Chartmill. She waited for a half price sale and got a subscription. Chartmill uses proprietary and customized indicators with their Stage Analysis.

That was me that started the Weinstein stuff.
I quit messing with it as I thought it was too lagging.
