13th hasn't been here since the great crash of 08. He and many like him have disappeared at this time perhaps going BK. or as I'd rather hope, retired on his own private Island known as 13th Paradise.

13th_floor was last known to be connected with InvestorsUnderground. His idea on the Deadly Combo still works using higher ADR(30) ranges. One might read up on his old posts on the blog GREENONTHESCREEN
GREEN ON THE SCREEN BLOG.

Mac & shillihus thank you both for your replies.
Mac, Do you recommend filtering by ADR(10) and then sorting by ADR(30) or just not using ADR(10) in the filter?
Also, do you always wait for red to green or sometimes is it okay to enter on green to green with a volume spike? I cannot trade green to red in my IRA. Thanks for your help.

MAC...indeed....that filter is pretty ridiculous. I put a high adr and 'volume > volume 1 day ago'. pulled up NLNK, which opened today at 13.97 and within the first hour hit 19. it's a good filter.

@pthomas215 Great catch on NLNK
Sort by ADR(30) is the best IMHO
add this code might be helpful and you can change it to your liking.
Low market caps have been known to be runner's by past price action.
-------
and Average Day Range(30) is above 4.00
add column market cap

I've always heard of this mythical Muddy but didn't know what all the fuss was about.
I looked at his site and I gotta say he was a groovy dude. I think the bottom filter is pretty straight,
Catches some etf runners. Ugaz is on that list right now.
I added etf and my twist thinks it's great for shorting inverse ETFs, in other words, if Ugaz pops, short Dgaz at any point below its opening day candle, for a long term run, but not too sure of my exit.

Mac, GOTS blog is awesome. I read some of the posts, but I cannot find anything on entry and exit strategies. I understand red to green for entry, but SF threads suggest 1min,5min,15min, & 30 min candles; 10/60 MA crossovers, price above EMA(5) etc. For stops they mention 0%,2%, 3% stop loss; 1/2 ADR(30), etc.
I am confused. What entry and exit criteria work best for Deadly Combo filter?
I appreciate your time and help. I will try to learn fast and slow down on all the questions. Ron

@ron22
I've been messing with the 1st weekly ema(5) cross to positive on the weekly chart. I have two filters one daily and one weekly. When the weekly has its first ema(5) above ema(5) seems to be a very good entry point. If one looks at past runners one can see its a good entry point. Now like with all filters there is NO holy grail but this seems to be a start.
---------------------------------------------------------
Code for daily and weekly charts. Some have suggested that weekly code on daily chart isn't that reliable of which I tend to agree more and more each day. That is something to study . Using BZUN it had a weekly cross on the weekly EMA(5) while the the weekly EMA(13) was already positive. IMHO there's room to go up on BZUN. Take ZGNX it had a weekly EMA(5) cross on 9-5-2017 and has since gone up 25%
---------------------------------------------------------
Set{cnt5,count( weekly EMA(5) > weekly EMA(5) 1day ago,1)}
draw cnt5
Set{cnt5b,count( weekly EMA(5)< weekly EMA(5) 1day ago,1)}
draw cnt5b
Set{cnt1313,count( weekly eMA(13) > weekly eMA(13) 1day ago,1)}
draw cnt1313
Set{cnt1313b,count( weekly eMA(13)< weekly EMA(13) 1day ago,1)}
draw cnt1313b
